Not Sure Where I Stand

Grass in Winter ~ photo by Patrice

Not sure where I stand
Not sure where I’ll be
Deep, sad remorse
And engulfs me.

Sadness reeks of sickness
Monsters creep
And crawl around
Head full of anguish
I must hold my ground.

Back laden
With burdens pulling
Pulling good hearts

Grip the soft shoulder
Of kindness
Let her lift me up
Munster courage
That surrounds us
It will back me up.

    • Thank you and you’re most welcome! When I wrote those words I could feel that soft shoulder and DID need to grip it!
