A Tear Drop

A tear drop
Runs down my cheek
Taking with it all I cherish
All I seek.

A tear wells up
Clouding my eyes
So they can’t see
The pain devouring me.

A tear drops quietly
On lips unable to cry
Any words that fit
These feelings I dispise.

A tear falls
Down my cheek
Landing on my broken heart
Whose pain won’t go away.

A tear flows down
Taking with it all love
All joy
I hoped I’d found.

I feel
A tear running down.
