Away

Long ago, far away
A heart was broke
He did not stay
To weep or cry
Nor brush sad tears away.

Crushed
A fool she thought
Then sat
Laughed
Brushed her own tears
Away.

No fool was she
No clown performing
For vacant love
He, he was the one
A fool for leaving
Not loving her.

He turned
He walked away
Never knowing what
He could have had
He walked away.
