A Little Mess Was Made

And yet the consequences
Were not staged
They came in rolling waves
Bringing pain
Then peace
Breaking on the cheek
Grinding all the way
To aching, hurtful feet
Not sure what to do
Comfort, scold or
let be, let do
The consequences
When
A little mess is made.
