Poets

Heard them say 
their words with feeling 
Heard the tone
and
plaintive call. 

Knew my words
compared to theirs
were small  
overall. 

Understand
they have the stature 
believe
their words say
it all 

But
I look within myself 
and know
I still have to write
those words given me 
I have to answer
that 
inner call.
