A Butterfly

A butterfly lands and rests her wings 
sipping nectar
water
all delicious things. 

Then she leaves 
flutters away 
her bright colours
all on display. 

Maybe tomorrow
or
the day after today 
she’ll be
on her journey
to a southern land 
miles away.

Where there
too
she’ll sip more nectar 
fluttering
one flower to another
her colours on display
all those miles away.
