A Eagle Sits

A eagle sits up in a tree 
resting 
after fishing salmon
in
our tiny stream. 

Majestic and noble 
he doesn’t seem to see 
the trials, tribulations 
I’m burdened with
as I too wander by
that
tiny, fish laden stream. 

He brings it all into perspective 
he makes me see 
life goes on
regardless 
of what I want 
I need 
I perceive.
