Memories

Memories come 
Then
They pass 

I ask the question 

Did they really happen 
Or
Was I in a dream  
That wasn’t part
Of my past? 

Memories vague
Sometimes
Vibrant as if they happened
Yesterday 
Not long ago 
In a distant, distant past. 

I’ll remember, smile
And be
Reliving memories 
Remembering
A past that was
Really me.
