I Said To My Dog

I said to my dog
“You are the Best person I know.”

She replied
“But I am a dog?” 

I said back to her
“You are the Best person I know.”

Let me be me
Let me be the person
I should be.

Thankful and presence
In this my whole life
Carry on in spite
Of all strife.

I am grateful, honoured
And must try to be
The most best person
I ever could be.
