Golden Leaves Swaying

November 2, 2018

Golden Fall ~ Photo by Patrice

Golden leaves swaying
On a November breeze
Floating, cascading down
Landing on soon to be
Frozen, winter ground.

Woods are silent, hushed, listening
To the still quiet as a hunter lurks
Waiting to kill in the midst
Of golden leaves falling, raining down
Upon barren, dying ground.

The Drinks Go Down

May 27, 2013

Iris photo by Patrice

The drinks go down
In the hummingbird feeder
As the sun warms the sky
Grass blows on a breeze
Destined to bring rain
To the evening’s brilliant blue sky.

All seems right
All seems as it should be
No sight of anger
Or struggle to combat.

Just a spring day
Over coming all that.

Free And Open Space

November 29, 2011

Free and open space.

That’s what I need.

Feel the wind on my face
In a free and open space.
All distractions, lots of action
In this free and open space .

Inhale the air
Feel the coolness in the breeze
In a open, a free and open space
Somewhere that I need.

Charge my senses on a cool and gentle breeze
A open space, a free and open space
Full of grace
A place where I can be.
