No makeup on today
Or yesterday
Skin festering, itching burning
Hives have made their way
Onto my face, my neck
Above my heart
Everywhere it seems
Gasping for some respite
Scratched raw
Went seeking help
Not once but twice
Yesterday.
The world has turned again
For today
I have my peace, my rest
Skin reduced to normal
Not like yesterday
On rising this morning, today
No more itching
Scratching
Like yesterday.
