Cold Is My Heart

September 5, 2019

Old House ~ Photo by Patrice

Cold is my heart
As I face the darkness
Brooding there
In the deep bottomless dark.

No remorse comes
To save me
No salvation
Takes my heart.

Just cold anger
Seething
Storming in my mind
Waiting to rip apart.

Anything
That dare face me
Stand and challenge
This coldness in my heart.

Winding Thru

November 13, 2015

Into the Light ~ Photo by Patrice

Winding thru
The intertwined
Difficult to see the reason
Or the sanity.

Scary
Step one step before the other
Thoughts meshed with a coldness
A shutter.

Question only
When I get thru
Will I be able to come back
To save another?

Coldness, Blizzard, Freezing Snow

February 27, 2014

Winter's Road ~ Photo by Patrice

Coldness, blizzard, freezing snow
Never ending this I know.

Have to ask will it ever end
This coldness, blizzard, freezing snow?

Where to go?
Where is warm with blazing sun?
No coldness, blizzard, freezing snow.

Coldness Infiltrates

December 16, 2013

Winter Snow ~ photo by Patrice

Coldness infiltrates every crevice, cranny
Make no mistake death could come
If you don’t take precautions
To keep warm and make
Your world a warm, cosy loving place.

I Feel The Coldness In My Heart

February 28, 2012

I feel the coldness in my heart
I feel it envelope me
Turning all to frozen frost
No emotion, no anger, shame or fear
No happiness, laughter or anything sincere
This coldness is all I feel
Here in my frozen sphere.

Let love break the way
Melt sadness, anger all away
Rushing forth with laughter
Keeping coldness far at bay
Drip love down deep within my soul
Making warm caring thoughts
Embrace me entirely all today
Keeping coldness far, far away.
