No One Speaks

April 22, 2020

Last used April 22/20

No one speaks
No one says
The words that will condemn
The dead
To a life lived in after death
Of misery. anger
No justice.

Instead hands hold out
Gentle love
Make the world a happy place
Make the universe
A living, breathing
Wondrous space.

Where hearts are held
Close with care
No one dies
They live forever
In our hearts
In a heaven
Made right here.

Chances Are

August 31, 2015

Chances are

You’re near
Chances are you are everywhere
Holding me, consoling me
Guiding me

Chances are.

Feel your love, feel your sweet breath
Chances are you live, you love
And then there’s death

Chances are.

October 23, 2014
Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent ~ Photo courtesy of www.cbc.ca

Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, was shot and killed while on honorary guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.
Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, was killed after being struck in a hit-and-run attack in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.

Death, killed and died
Did no wrong, we cry
We cry.

Makes no sense
Why, why
Why?

Death, death
No reason why
No sane reason why.
~ Patrice

My condolences to the family, the friends of
Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent
They served with courage and with honour. They gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Rest in the arms of God, brave soldiers

We Thank You. We Honour You

So Much Has Changed

August 20, 2014

So much has changed
The world is not, not the same.

Death, anger, disarray

Where do I belong in this change
Playing out on what seems a sunny day.

Snow Blows A Crisp Cold White

March 12, 2014

Snow blows a crisp cold white
Deafening on this spring morning night
Flying by with a unrepentive no melting cry
Once again covering all going deep down inside.

Some will die in this cold white mess
As snow hungers to hold a grip
Til no life stirs beneath its icy depth
Breeding death, anger and remorse
Snow blows, snow blows
Making life full of needless stress.

I Saw Death Today

September 4, 2012

I saw death today
And it wasn’t far away
Shattered lives, writhing pain
Ashen grey trying to focus
Make sense of mistakes made
Tragic, senseless crash
I saw, I saw death today.

Pieces strewn all over
Stricken faces numb in horror
Helpless, terror I saw
Souls broken beyond repair
Flashing sirens, horrid
Screaming lights rushing there.
Death hovered, waiting
Waiting stalking there.

I saw death today.

We Deal With Death

May 7, 2012

Today I am going to write the feelings I felt when hearing of my friends beloved dog’s death sentence – aggressive bone cancer.
A few weeks back I wrote of his experience of having some teeth extracted. Unfortunately, they were not cracked or decayed. His jawbone was infected with cancer and now he has only a few weeks.

We deal with death every single day
We survive to breath, not fade away
Into nothingness soul in tow
Morse dismay, sadness, heartache
Hard to bare this weight of death
Crushing, nothing spared.

Remorse loving lost
Cherished deep, deep down here
We deal with death every single day
It never ever goes away.

Heartache, sadness bitter truth
Forcing all to see despair
Brought on in innocence
No more to hide in cloak of light
Opened up with angry fight.

Tender loving stroke your fill
For tomorrow never will
Bring true happiness in this
Sad, sad land where death comes
To ones we love
That stand on guard
Dying here with no, no nothing feared.

God grant us just a chance
To spare this life
And not deal with death
This single day
Let it stay far away.

Blessed be the soul that comes
Holding love for all sadness one
Love, hurt, anger, dread crushing down
Feel no more
Be it tender heart to soar
High up where the mighty roar.

Today Is A Sad Day

February 29, 2012

Today is a sad day
Full of memories and dreams
Caught amongst the reality
Of a death ever so serene.

His time had come
He wanted to leave
Not making it any easier
Just had to let him go.

Today is a sad day
Full of memories and dreams
A brave, courageous, loving guy
Died this day too long ago.
