Caught In The Midst

November 5, 2019

Agility Running ~ Photo by Patrice

Caught in the midst
of all I see
drifting
with the spirit that
guides me.

When my destination
comes into view
will I stand and run
or will I
wait for you?

Snowy Deer ~ Photo by Patrice

Focus on falling snow
Dropping, falling, drifting
Blow.

Filling cracks in heart and soul
Holding softly footsteps
Traced in falling white.

Moving with
No cares in sight
Blanketed in soften, drifting white.

It Blows Again

March 24, 2016

Woodpecker in Winter ~ Photo by Patrice

It blows again,
Drifting too, across the land
No remorse
It just covers bursting, growing, green land
Squirrels sigh, birds don’t sing
Blowing snow
Covers everything.

Cold And White

February 25, 2015

Deer resting in the night ~ Photo by Patrice

Cold and white
Blowing blizzard on this night.

Blaze aflame with no aim
To be the one who warms your heart
Frozen by drifting, deadly white.

Drifting Slowly Down

April 8, 2014

Spring Crocus ~ Photo by PatriceDrifting slowly down
The last of winter softly hits the ground
Melted in an instant, turning to a rain
Flowing quickly, pouring down the drain
Now just melancholy remembrances
Of a winter almost gone.

Spring emerges, quickly coming on
Banks of snow melting, feeding
Turning to green grasses that grow
In the warm summer sun that gives strength
To all the little baby ones.

Then the cycle turns again, falling onto fall
That is when we come face to face
With the coming cold winter snow
As we see the seasons change
In a ever changing show.
