Snow flies
And we answer
Why? Why?
Blizzards blow fierce white
Changing darkness
Into a brilliant seeing night.
Cold with icicles
Dripping down
Covering a frigid, frozen ground.
Rivers run underneath
A covering of ice and snow
Sometimes more than a foot deep.
We live thru this
We
We do exist.

Melancholy feelings
Sorry heart
Trudging through the snow
Feeling
It’s cold, cold heart.
Icicles dangling, dripping
To sadden, frozen ground
No where to go
Misery
Sadness all around.
Then the sun shines
Spreading, singing like a lark
Warming all the world
Unfreezing
That frigid, frozen heart.

Sometimes
The snow flies quietly down
Melting before
It touches frozen ground.
No thunder clap
Heralds the falling down
No flash of blazing light
Lets us know.
No roar or rush
Of coming water no
Just snow
Snow quietly falling down.

Snow falls softly down
Down on hardened ground
Covering lightly
Frozen fallen leaves
Dropped from lofty trees
All bare
Just standing there.
Snow flakes gently falling
Down upon the ground
Lightly dusting those
That can’t wait to be covered
In a light atmosphere
Enveloping, buffering from the cold
All this you do behold.
Breathe in frosty air
Feel the flakes caress your soul
As they tumble softly down
Gently landing on frozen ground
This is their time
For falling, coming down
See the snow fall softly down.
