Robbie Burns Day it is
Go back in time
And listen to what is.

A gifted poet
A man of great stature
One of a kind that
We should look to
With great rapture.

I am in awe
Nothing would stop me
From hoping
That he would come
And guide my hand.

In this writing
Feeling
As I try to expand words
That come to mind
Here and now

For the sake of it all
I trust it will make it right
This mighty force
That guides me
Through the night .

It will be alright.

It will take me pass
The frightening plights
That harbor sorrow
On this dark and scary night.

Lift up my eyes
Let the light beam down
Leaving not a trace
Of tears streaming
Down.

Will help me
Thru the night.
