Soldiers Soldier

December 13, 2022

Soldiers soldier ~ Illustration by Patrice

Soldiers soldier,
lovers love
Peace, tranquillity
come to those that soldier on
with love

Make me not
one
that believes
not in love

Make me a soldier
in that army conquering
hatred, prejudice
giving only
unconditional love.

I Am A Survivor

October 20, 2022

I Am A Survivor ~ Photo by Patrice

I am a survivor

I survived hatred, anger
things
that made me a victim

I am a survivor

I came through
growing into someone
who understands how it happened

I am a survivor

Only hurt, remorse for those
who inflicted that hatred
that anger

I am a survivor

Have moved forward
build a life full of love, generosity
no hatred, some anger

I am

I am a survivor.

Feel The Anger

June 2, 2021

Feel the anger
The pressure baring down
Grasp the lighter, redeeming saviour
Hold him close
Move to higher ground.

Let no one’s hatred, anger find you
For you have a buffer,
A wall of love all around
You are safe
No more pressure baring down.

Blessed We Be

June 21, 2012

Blessed we be
Blessed we’re not
Hold on or you may
Lose that thought.

Brilliant yes
Certainly bold
Smile a lot never frown
The world is here
And it is round.

See the gleam on
A sharp edged sword
Slicing hatred
And spreading love
We’ve been told.

With the Lord
Blessed we be
And certainly not
All alone in
This our sacred lot.
