We must remember with hearts filled
With emotion seeing the way
Those who fought for freedom
On this very day.
Somber moments seeking the truth
Listening heartbeats showing the route.
You battled in cold, fought in the dark
Never once saying no more, so far.
Onward, forward you did advance
Not thinking or fearing any consequence.
Battles are fought, some never won
But moments of glory reign
Showing the courage
Of our daughters, our sons.
Hold that courage proudly
You stood in the moment
You wear the battle scar.
All I can do is salute and give honour to
The brave soldier you are.

I can see the words
They tell me of the time
When hearts were loved
And words all rhymed.
They tell me of the joy
The majesty and triumphant gladness
No casting of badness
No broken bones
Or hearts lost in a world
Filled with madness.
These words they fill the place
With love, beauty, grace
I accept the honour
Bestowed here upon me
Of seeing life with words that
Never conquer
Just for the sake of me.

Sorrow manifests
Deep within of me
No reason
Just fatality
Slowly rising up
Overwhelming me.
Sorrow
Sadness here
Deep within of me.
Treasure happy
Treasure gladness
See and be
For sadness
Sorrow will fill the glad
If you let it be.
Tinkle of laughter
Skipping
Down the path of destiny
Filling hearts with joy
And all necessities.
Sadness in the gutter
Sorrow no part of me
Let it be.
No sadness
No sorrow manifests
Only happiness
There
Deep within of me.

Enclosed in the box
Our secrets, our lives
Hidden from all
For we must despise.
Why is this? Why do we do
The things that hurt us
In this life too?
Sadness prevails taking its toll
On our hearts and our minds
Two fold I’m told.
Out of the box
Let lives be disclosed
As a great love of life
In this to be told.
No shrinking from any
Fess up and be
The true self person
You desperately can be.
