A Guiding Light

November 15, 2022
A Guiding Light ~ Photo by Patrice

Respect, gratitude
All needed
Felt
With a sincere attitude.

Let love hold you safe
Feel secure
In arms
That envelope you.

Know
In the morning
Late at night
You’re not alone.

You have
A saviour, a protector
A guiding light
Holding you.

Feel Your Presence ~ Photo by Patrice

When
I feel your presence

When
I stand beside of you

I can’t fail
for
there you’ll be
holding. guiding me
all
the way through.

Now

Great Danes from Purina's Hall of Fame ~ Watercolour by Patrice

Wandering now
Where I’ve never been

Seeking now
Things I’ve won’t begin

Leaving now
Thoughts I shouldn’t have held so tight

Gone now
From the darkest night

Flowing now
On a path not so straight

Holding now
Promise as I go to the light.

Voice Speaking

March 22, 2019

Patrice Clarkson's Blog

Voice speaking, crying out
Saying things needed
Feeling all alone
Desperate to know the answer
Seeking to be free
Of ties changing, dragging thee.

Voice may be loud
Sounding almost like a horn
Blowing breath, scattering every way
Or soft and mellow
Holding dreams inside
Being safe, secure today.

Voice crying of things lost and found
Then some stored away
Voice may be laughing, bringing joy
To the day
Holding, hugging souls captured
In the voice’s lilting, loving way.

Focus On Falling Snow

February 22, 2019

Snowy Deer ~ Photo by Patrice

Focus on falling snow
Dropping, falling, drifting
Blow.

Filling cracks in heart and soul
Holding softly footsteps
Traced in falling white.

Moving with
No cares in sight
Blanketed in soften, drifting white.

Let Me See

April 24, 2017

Road and Rail Fence ~ Photo by Patrice

Let me see the art
Let me see the way
Let no one bar my path
But help me
On my way.

Bask in bright sunlight
See it shines for you
Never veering, always holding
Making all dreams
Come true.

Long Shadows Crease The Grass

March 3, 2014

Palm Tress in the Sunset ~Photo by Patrice

Long shadows crease the grass
Modifying bark on a watching tree
As sunlight fights
With the night all day long
Winning only in the morning bright.

Sleep at night
Feel the shadows
Creeping across the grass
Rising up
Holding darkness in it’s grasp.

Your heart is safe
Shadows will see to that.
