Keep me close
Keep me quiet
Silent sounds
Roar
Without saying
Anything profound.

Joyous words
Cannot speak
Heartache thumps
Echoing thoughts
Not uttered
Not to keep.

Surround me now
With love and joy
Embrace
My head, my heart
Let me go
To those that love.

Stay in touch
With loving souls
Sleeping in a bed
So soft
Never hearing another
Horrid thought.

Why we do what we do
Never knew, never understood
Didn’t have a clue.

Standing here, standing there
More or less
Standing anywhere.

Keep me close, hold me far
Never say you did or didn’t
Do that.

Why not come, why not go
All is strange, but then
Who’s to know?
