I read the lines, saw the words
But no thought came to mind
Had no idea what was said
No vision of what to do.
My soul was cold
My heart frozen over
My ears, my eyes
Knew not what to do.
My feet they left
Never knowing the answer
To the question asked
Never knowing what to do.

Crying for the blessed
Never understanding
Or asking why.
Don’t call the known
Nor respond to the one
That wishes only to die
Just moving forward
Hoping that right
Is the only reason why.
