Hold Me Close, Hold Me Tight

September 30, 2020

Hold Me Close, Hold Me Tight ~ Watercolour & Pencil Art by Patrice

Hold me close, hold me tight
keep the light on
throughout
the darkest night.

Let no one say the words
that cut the heart
no matter
all its great might.

Keep me safe, keep me on
the path that’s right
then and only then my world will turn
and be alright.

Carefully Watch, Carefully See

July 2, 2015

Winter Snow ~ Photo by Patrice

Carefully watch, carefully see

The world evolve majestically

Don’t stop the trend

Don’t be part of those who halt the flow

Carefully watch, carefully go

See dignity, see might

See love and everything you need

As you go towards the light

Carefully watch, carefully be

The secret to a life you need

Carefully watch, carefully see.

Give Me Strength, Power And Might

March 1, 2013

Steffi ~ photo by Patrice

Give me strength
Power and might
To do what
in my heart
I know is right.

No sacrifice
Is too great
When in the end
I’ve done the things
I know are right.

Pain and anguish
May be mine
But if my heart
Turns sad to love
Then it’s right.

So please
Give me strength
Power and might
To do that which
In my heart
I know is right.

What A Wonderful Dream

February 14, 2013

Fall Leaves ~ photo by Patrice

What a wonderful dream
I had last night
You were in it all focused
Happy and beautifully bright.

We walked
A wondrous road
As it curved pass forest
Strong with might.

You laughed
And held me tight
You held me
All thru the night.

What a wonderful dream
I had last night
I dreamed a dream of you
Last night.

Sacrifice Nothing

August 9, 2011

Sacrifice nothing
Join in the fight of your life.
Rain patters down in a trickle of might.
The ground is a maze, hard to decipher
Which is right and really does matter.
