Here in my own heart
I feel a sadness blue
I know I’ve lost a time
When I lost
Lost you
Moved on
But every now and then
I think
And that’s when
I find myself
Missing you.

Never Understood

Never understood
How you could walk away
Never turning round
To even say
A kind goodbye
Never understood.
Can’t figure out why
Why it made me cry
Wish with all my heart
I too
Could leave and maybe die
Never understood.
Not now in that awful moment
Moved on and found
The world a lovely place
Full of treasures, beauty, grace
Making all that heartache
Pass away
That, I understand.
But in brief moments
Of some days
I think of you
And still
Can never really understand.

Never understood
How you could walk away
Never turning round
To even say
