My heart aches
my soul cries
for a time
of clear innocence
a time that time
has taken
to the past
No more to feel
to bask
in rays of light
hearted laughs
Sadness overwhelms
hurt
seems to last
til no more tears left
to sob
crying for the now
distance past.

My heart aches
my eyes cry
my feet walk
a endless lie
No saviour in sight
no helping hand
my remorse
is apparent
I cannot stand
on the precipice
of anger
and
be in command
No
But yes
Yes I can.

My heart aches
Surrounded by people
who think me stupid
My heart aches
For these people have judged
convicted me of dumb behaviour
My heart aches
At the moment I see no alternative
it must be true
I have no saving grace, no saviour
My heart aches

My heart aches, my soul cries
For the loves
I’ve lost
And
Live no more.
The time came they must depart
Leaving anguish
Loss
In my broken heart.
Someday I know I’ll see again
Those I loved
I lost
They’ll be with me forever
Forever once again.

My heart aches
My soul longs
for times of joy
all long gone.
No more to be
no more to say
loving words
I heard, heard
yesterday.
Now has come
a time of pain
sorrow
my heart aches
my soul knows there’ll be
no tomorrow.

I have done what I need to do
No one else can make
This journey for me
Neither he, she or you.
My heart aches
That you don’t know
This to be true.
But then what do I know
About your journey
That journey, like my journey
You’re travelling too.

My heart aches
For the girl I use to be
Finding it hard accepting
This woman I am to be.
I was innocent then
Accepting and carefree.
What happened
To that girl?
Where could she be?
Life took a toll
Leaving her as you see.
Must accept this woman
Must be pleased
And certainly see
a beautiful person too
Just not as carefree.
Happy yes, more so now
Than ever could be.
So love this woman
Because she is me.
