Anticipation, excitement brews
Tomorrow is open
I just have to put my way on cruise.
Glide thru the troubles
Step over the sad
Tomorrow is my pleasure
A sum of all I’ve had.

A big milestone
looms in my way
not one to saunter to
not one to bypass or ignore
not today.
Strength and courage
are mustered to surpass
the obstacles seen today
to that tremendous milestone
on my path, on my way.

My Fortune I suppose
Is in my hands
The coming and going
Of goodness, happiness
Is in my command.
No soaked coat
Laden with anger
Can cover me
Or make my way
A forsaken land.
I will, I can
See my fortune ahead
Waiting
Waiting to take my hand.

Today
Is a day unlike any other day
Filled with life
Filled with strife
And too, things nice.
Must make it my day
Do it my way
And at the end, at the night
I’ll look, see what a wondrous day
Was given to me.
Then I can peacefully sleep
In anticipation of what
The day
The next day
Will bring to me.

Organizing, adjusting
Making things sane
Getting control
Of a life
Without laying any blame.
This is my course
My way
To climb to the top
Of a world
That changes everyday.

Let me be inspired
Let me see my way
Down the road
Across the pasture
Far into life
Way on my way.
You have always
Helped me through
You have been there
When my way fell apart
And I didn’t know
What to do.
I can stand now
On my own
On my own because of you
Let me be inspired
Let me follow through.
Let me see my way
Down the road
Becoming great
Great just like you.
