Optimistic with the present
Couldn’t have foretold the past
But getting by it all together
At last, at last.

The calendar tells the date
The clock tells the time
My heart knows it ain’t
The day nor time that’ll get me
To that perfect present spot
In my time.

Christmas Comes But Once A Year

Christmas comes but once a year
As does Easter and New Years
Celebrate, have some cake
Eat the treat Christmas makes.

Travel round
See the smile on the child
That believes in Santa Claus.

Feel the joy
Feel the cheer
Wrap a present for someone dear.

Christmas comes but once a year
So we should raise a glass
Of hearty cheer
And bless this day throughout the year!
