Sadness comes and overwhelms me
It sinks into my heart
Envelopes me
No escape can I find.
Sadness reigns, is defined
By coursing thru my veins
To my head, to my heart
Sadness indeed does reign.
Sadness is in control
Is a thought
I can’t help but feel
It steals all love
All sacred thoughts.
This sadness
Great sadness is in my heart.
~ Patrice
Rest in peace dear friend Clive.

Cold, dark with swampy damp
Crusty mould moves over sodden land
No one speaks nor do they roar
Injustice reigns
Gentle loving is no more.

Autumn’s come
Darkness reigns, life dying
As cold seeps in and leaves fall
Like a uncontrolled train.
Birds are flocking, salmon, trout
Fighting their way up rivers
Not seen since tiny river trout.
Young are grown
Grooming a thick winter coat
Bears sleepy fat, readying
For a long winter, that’s that.
Those staying loading caches
Their bountiful summer haul
Autumn’s come
We also call it fall.

The blue of a heavenly blue
Morning glory
Reigns over all that I recall
Of summer bright
Full
Full of absolute delight.
Dying now settling down
Falling into fall
A beauty of it’s own
Reds, browns golden hues
Contrasting with a heavenly blue
Morning glory
Hanging on into fall.
When summer is long gone
And I can only recall
Those summer heavenly blues
Most of all.

Strong and loyal seeking in you tonight
Power and beauty found deep inside you alright
No matter the climate or beat of the heart
Magnificence reigns here and is part
Of all wonders found there in your heart.
What have you seen?
Who do you know?
Nothing it seems depends on this now
All that matters, transgresses or bestows
Is felt on the matter here before
Rising up welding courage and lo
Strong and loyal are still seeking below.
