I Have A Lot To Do

June 6, 2019

Butterfly ~ Photo by Patrice

I have a lot to do
The world, the universe
Moves not waiting
For the time that works
Just for me.

Not entirely

Move in sync
Dance in rhyme
Be the good
Commit no crime.

This will place me
In a space, a time
Where all I have to do
Is be me
And loving mine.

Gone For A Day

January 14, 2015

Gone for a day, maybe a week
Whatever it takes to focus, to seek
A gentle mind in this life I’m living.

So you be careful, you be kind
We’ll talk when I’m back
In poetry, in rhyme.

Some Sometimes Fear

February 19, 2013

Some sometimes
Fear the best
There within
The rhyme.

I don’t know
What it’s all about
All I know I need to shout
That that’s hidden
Deep within the rhyme.

Similar To All, Unique In Itself

October 11, 2012

Similar to all, unique in itself
Glory and strife part of the time
Needed to rhyme.

Glorious, glorious rhyme
Similar but not the usual
No, unique this glorious rhyme
Travelling
Travelling gently thru time.

My Simple, Sad Refrain

September 11, 2012

My simple, sad refrain
Stills the aching heart
Inflamed with injustice
Done to those that steal
Souls of sadness
Make them real
In songs of gladness
Marked in time of destiny
Out of rhyme.

No thought is given
No time demands
We come to heaven
When out of time.
~ Patrice
