The smell of lilacs ebbs and flows
Over my senses
Taking me back in time
When life was slow
And in pastures green
Children laughing, playing
Running past the stream.
Sweet scented lilacs are my time machine.

Much has been said and no one is right
All must bond, sitting together tonight
Saying not a word til dawn’s morning light
Then only if heartfelt last night
More can be said by not saying a thing
A nod, a wave can convey everything.
Follow your soul, your heart and your mind
Say the words slow, let them trickle
Giving time to know what they are
Making sure they’re clearly defined
So one can say
Not much has been said but all is sublime.

Around and around we go
On the so called life
Merry-go-round we go.
Sometimes it slows down
Other times it races thru strife
Sometimes it dies and all lies still
On a merry-go-round we go.
We hold no controls we only hang on
And ride the steed we’ve been given
On a around and around
Merry-go-round we go.

Why am I here?
Questions
Questions are all I hear
Why?
Delve deep inside
Your soul modest, gentle
And even maybe
A little slow.
There in peace
You survive
Enveloped in strength
And a moral code
You can’t deny.
Stand strong
Breach the crest
Ride the tide
No one need question why
You alone are the one
To bring you
To the centred one.
Questions?
Many and a few
But for you
All you need to know
The answers live deep inside
Your magnificent soul.
That’s all
All you need to know.
