A Hummingbird Came

A hummingbird came to my window 
today 
not seen since 
in the fall 
when they all 
flew away. 

Sweet nectar she’s looking for 
needs right away 
hovering, looking in 
she tells me. 

Get it ready! 
Get it ready! 
Get it ready right away! 

The little hummingbird 
is 
hungry 
she’s flown such a distance 
from far 
far away. 

Now needs 
some sweet substance 
til 
all the blooms 
are 
on display. 

A hummingbird came to my window 
and 
told me all this 
just this morning 
just today.
