Hang On

February 15, 2022
Hang On ~ Photo by Patrice

Hang on
Gripping tight
See the light
Let go of negatives
Bask in rays of beauty
Light.

Be blessed
Be right
With all nature
As you let go
Of
Controls you needn’t need
Tonight.

What Is Right

January 12, 2021

What Is Right - Photo by Patrice

Don’t know what to do
What is right
My mind is in
A quandary, a plight.

Will tomorrow
Shed some light
On this dilemma
That I’m struggling with
Tonight.

Or will I go on wondering
What’s best
What is right?

Desperate Happenings

September 2, 2020

Desperate Happenings ~ Photo by Patrice

Desperate happenings
Unfolding tonight
Leaving wonder
Far in the distant twilight
No time for remorse
Anger and fury is what
Is coming tonight.

For tomorrow
In the board, bright daylight
Could it be all will be
As if it never happened
Never made you cry
In the dead of the dark
Dark night.

Deep In The Rest

June 28, 2019

Deep in the rest of sleep tonight
My soul does dream so vividly
Life is full, time is dear
Honoured by those held so near.

I awaken rested, never knowing
Time has passed
Troubles solved and circumstance
Seems not to be the threat I feared
So horribly.

No one drew or threw a veil
Upon my sight
Just goodness does
And will prevail.

I slumber now in perfect rest
No concern, no distress
Awakening to light cascading down
Upon my life where goodness
Does and will abound.

There I Am

April 19, 2019

Rising Fiddle Head ~ Photo by Patrice

There I am in my robe
Watching closely as the earth disrobes
All it’s ugly, nasty things
Rising up in beauty
Filled with summer and with spring.
Winter’s cold, bitter hate
Melted here, no distaste
Only warm, fulfilling beams
Creating more lovely dreams.

Bless the ground I stand upon
Know it gives me faith true and strong
Trusting I’ll be here long after
Spring flowers fade and go
But memories of what has been
Or yet to come
Will hold my own sheltering robe so tight
That I know I will be safe
On earth’s soft ground tonight.

Tonight

February 26, 2019

Dark Night Tree ~ Photo by Patrice

Treacherous feelings I harbour
Tonight
Anger seething in my blood
Tonight.

Each footstep taken
Keeps me in a raging hold
Tonight.

No answer, no salvation
In the black, bleak darkness
Tonight.

Holding On, Holding Tight

December 27, 2018

Bright Light ~ Photo by Brent

Holding on, holding tight
Steeling to make it thru the night
While thinking of basking
In the broad daylight
Making no matter of the matters
That matter tonight.

Sitting Down

Sitting down
To think of something
Intelligently bright and just right
For the discussion I’m having
With myself tonight.

Decisions

August 23, 2017

Making decisions
Some I don’t like
Making them in darkness
And board daylight.

Answering all questions
That’ll make things right
Make people believe in me
Today, tonight.

I don’t have all answers
Still decisions
Decisions will be made
By tonight.
