Anticipation

Anticipation, excitement brews 
Tomorrow is open 
I just have to put my way on cruise. 

Glide thru the troubles 
Step over the sad 
Tomorrow is my pleasure 
A sum of all I’ve had.

My Father Passed Away

My father passed away 
Passed away many years ago 
On this day. 

Memories are all I have 
Thoughts of yesterday 
Whether happiness, laughter 
Or crying in a most sadden way. 

My father was my saviour 
A man of strength 
I loved everyday. 

He had troubles
Complications like we all have 
As we travel thru our lives 
On our way. 

All this he overcame 
Becoming a beacon of light 
On my darkest days.
