Crises come
Monopolizing the mind
The spirit
Everything in the universe
Anything
Not tied down tight.
What has happened?
Why?
No answers come
Questions only
They hang in the frigid, cold
Unforgiving sky.
Do your best
Do what’s correct
What’s right
Maybe then the world will smile
Grass turn a brilliant green
And stars shine a guiding light
On everything.

Lighting strikes a hummingbird
As she sits, sleeping in the night.
Thunder crashes
Wind wails
Rain weeps.
No right is done
When tragedy screams thru
A dark, unforgiving night.

Snow is falling softly
gently down upon a cold
Hard bitter ground
Unforgiving in this season angry
As we struggle to be warm.
Quietly snow covers all
That harsh, hard cold
Making soft and warm it seems
This landscape filled with cold.
Blanket all the world
In white beauty bold
There til spring
The ground does sleep
While we wait for warmth
To unfold.
Springing forth in vibrant colour
Joyous singing can be heard
May we rest in quiet winter
Tucked beneath a blanket white
Waiting for spring to tell us
This is the time to spring to life.
