Most Of All

June 26, 2019

Zeke Painting ~ Watercolour by Patrice

Most of all I want to say
The day will unfold in a way
That won’t be yours or mine
But belong in the scheme
Of all time.

I cannot comprehend all the love and joy
You bring to me
And in the end I hope you see
I have given as much love to you
As you have given me.

May 9, 2019

Sharon's Kitty ~ Watercolour by Patrice

Do I hear your call?
Do I feel your presence near mine?

Those Who Lost The Fight

February 11, 2019

Saluki ~ Watercolour by Patrice

I hold up my hand
In gratitude to all those
Who lost the fight
The battle which had
No score.

Win or lose was the choice
Nothing else, no more
I too, will travel down that road
And at the end
To be no more.

There I may find that
Win or lose is not the choice
It’s to live
Forever more.

Thoughts And Memories

December 26, 2018

Rottie Pups ~ Painting by Patrice

Thoughts and memories
Come into my head
Some beautiful
Some filled with dread.

I think of them and then
Let those memories go
Back to the place where
All memories need to go.

There to stay til drawn again
To the front of my mind
To relive and live
Those memories one moe time
One moe time again.

I Come To Be

August 2, 2018

Lazy Summer Days ~ Watercolour Painting by Patrice

In the morning I come to be
In my joyous place laughing, happy
All as it should be.

As a mourning dove gives it’s plaintive call
Cars pass knowing nothing of my life
Not at all.

Birds sing, squirrels jump from branch to branch
On the hunt for the perfect breakfast,
Dinner, lunch.

Flowers bloom, waving petals in a quiet breeze
While a fly buzzes, irritating for sure
But still a life that lives, that breathes.
