Sadness lingers giving a sad taste
Mental anguish holds memories in
Sadness’s wake.

This too will pass in future’s time
Overshadowed
By weeping and sad crying.

For now I hold my sadness near
All that’s left
Of one life so dear.

Terrible Times Do Happen

Terrible times do happen
They wind around time
Twisting, turning
Making taking a breath
Seem like a crime.

But they will pass
The sun will shine
The sky beam a cerulean blue
Pouring rain washing away
Terrible times residue.
