Beautiful white neither dark nor cold
In the night holding close
Tender ones needing hearts warmed
By a cloak of soft winter snow.

Burr it’s cold
Burr what’s next
To unfold?
Wind is blowing
Leaves are gone
Flocks of geese
Not to be found.
Winter today could unfold
Cause burr, burr
It’s really cold.

Winter’s cold can be a blight
Forcing sensitive to be uptight
Shivering, shaking lost control
Looking for a soft, warm cozy hole.
Howling wind does not let up
Whipping tender
Devouring them up.
Sun is bright but freezing cold
Touching frost
With icicles dripping
Froze.
Marching thru at its own rate
Making us appreciate
Spring’s thaw
Yes
No one can really wait.

Snow falls coming lightly down
Melting ‘fore hitting ground
Thoughts of pureness flowing down
Freezing out illness, blight
Softly pushing them far into night
Cleansing, keeping warm
Cold dark earth on the ground.
Snow falls I can see
Cleansing too my responsibility
I must be like the snow
Let it fall, let it go
Landing, changing all I know
Trust it’s right, trust it will
Make alright like the snow
Covers, warms the land
Til spring’s beauty can make a stand.
This my snow comes lightly down
Melting ‘fore hitting ground.
