Worry, wonder consuming me
will it be okay or will I be
surrounded by misery?
Bite my lip
still my wicked thoughts
fill the future with all that happiness
has brought.

Is the end the answer
Will the truth be told?
No more to wonder
No need to scold
For the truth is the answer
The truth is what’s told.

You haven’t been there
And I haven’t seen
All the wonders
In the world
All
That has been.
But
Tomorrow we’ll go
Locked arm in arm
Down the path of wonder
Into tomorrow
Feeling
Seeing no harm.

Patrice Clarkson's Blog

Such a wonder to review
Such a time we had we two.
Nothing came to pass
That hurt or tested our resolve, our view.
Such a time we had we too
Such a wonder to review.

We wonder lots of things
We ponder everything
We walk in step with nature
Believing
Anything is possible
Anything.

I do wonder what would happen
If I didn’t tell the truth
Mired down in anguish
I’d may only say half truths.
Please tell me I wouldn’t
Please tell me I would
Be above and aloof
All the lies lying there
No where near the absolute
My absolute truth.

Wonder is what I’ve got
As I reach, reach out and see
The beauty, the majesty of all living things
Knowing they are all part of me.

I wonder what was it like
When I was born
Did I cry right away
Or was I compelled?
Did I know what had happened
Was I frightened to be out
Of the only world I’d known
Did I even know where I was?
The answers I don’t know
No one left to tell
Gone are the memories
I may have once held.
The business of new life
Took over and I cried
Sad to be leaving
The soft, warm womb
Where my mother kept me
Safe and alive.
I may not remember
No one left to tell
But I know I was born and
With love I was held.
