I hear your cry
I hear that mournful sound
echoing
amongst the hills
valleys
all around.
Will I too cry, will I be sad
inconsolable
in my quest for love
amongst
all this sadness
and
sorrow?
No answer comes
no words uttered
all
I hear is
that awful
awful
mournful sound.

Foes look eye to eye
No backing down
No clowning round.
Serious words uttered
Marching feet make
The ground shutter.
The sun looks dim
Trying to hide behind
Dark clouds that weep within.
No winners allowed
Only brave hearts move forward
No matter the thoughts
Indecisive or strong.
There is no right
There is no wrong.
