I can see
but
can I understand? 

The way the world turns
upside down
then
back up again?

Can I stand, stand straight
as it spins
never moving
from where I stand?

what is bad
turns to goodness 
that
does abound. 

Feel the change 
the transition
to 
beauty, grace
hidden in
sadness, destitute 

Maybe tomorrow
you will

all this unfold
as
the world turns 
round you, round me.

The world it turns
It revolves 
But
Not around me

Not at all. 

It may tomorrow 
Or
The day after that 
And

Where it turned
Way far back.

I do know,
I see 
Is that it turns

I take the ride

I stand in the midst of it all

I’m not sure

I Learn Many Things

I learn many things
I see many times
The world as it turns
Intertwines.

My heart knows a reason
To decline
The advances of the destructive
Filled with misery kind.

It comes from within
This loving gift coming from
The divine.

In a way I can’t understand
The world whirls round
Making no excuses
Denying no light
Or darkness in the night.

I don’t understand
It’s not at my command
How rivers run, showers fall
And the world turns
Again and again.

Most of all I stand
In the midst of this
Wondering
Will I ever
Ever understand?
