Once Again

Once again I write
What I see
What I’m to hear as the words
Begin to be.

Sometimes so great
Sometimes just grim
But all those words need
Need to be written.

Spoken in text
To those that need them
Those to who
They were meant to be given.

I Write The Words That Come

I write the words that come 
I see them in their entirety 
some are in colour
others grey 
altogether they make 
the words I write 
I say. 

Tomorrow
they’ll be different 
they’ll say something I never thought of
not til that instant
when they came and I wrote
wrote what they told me 
to say.

I do write 
I don’t sing
Praises
Of the sun, the moon
Nor spring. 

The words are written down 
One letter at a time 
Maybe
In the future someone will
Sing
These words of praise 
I bring.  

Til then
They’ll stay 
In my book, on my page 
Written to be read 
These words of praise.

Definitely not the one
I thought I’d write
Maybe then the one
I need to write.

Blessed be the time
That I see I’ve done no crime
Only good
For the sake of mankind.

That’s what I’ll write
Fill my pages full of beauty
Or maybe just delight
Yes this I need, I need to write.

Sitting down to write my life
Hear it flow from start
Thru heartache, pressures
And some strife
Coming out full of joy
Learning, seeing warmth glow
Radiating with sweet love.

I used to write most every night
About what was my passion
My insight.

Now, tonight I collect my thoughts
Watch the sky
Watching planes fly by.

Can’t write no wondrous things
Can’t bring myself to find passion
