A Turtle Met Me Just Today
May 20, 2016A turtle met me just today
While I was on my way
She wasn’t very cordial
Actually, awful antisocial.
Snapping, snapping
On what seemed
Her busy way.
The sun was shinning bright
On shell glistening
In the morning light.
What a time to see
A turtle there in front of me
She’s on her way
Must lay eggs today.
No time to doddle
No time to say
Good morning or good day
Must be on my way.
I met a turtle
Just today
A snapping turtle
By the way.
